Total Solar Eclipse 2024: Indianapolis goes dark

Eclipse chasers in Indianapolis were met with a brief moment of darkness as the moon covered the sun. Fox 32's Mark Strehl was live during peak totality with thousands of others at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The over 2 hour drive and taking a day off work WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!! IT WAS THE COOLEST THING EVER IN MY 24 YEARS OF LIVING! Seriously!!! The 2017 one didnt even come close!

I saw a young girl looking straight into the sun before totality. Bad, very bad. The other thing I noticed was people watching the eclipse through their cell phones. Unbelievable.

Birds went to roost here & my horses stopped eating & just stood there. Then when it went totally dark they ran for their shelter. The animals were all off.

Drove down from suburban Chicago this morning with my dad. We left at 5:30 AM and beat out the traffic. We ended up in a Starbucks parking lot in Lebanon Indiana and sat and waited for 5 hours. One of the coolest (literally) experiences of my life! And the best part was that where we stayed gave us the ability to beat out all the traffic driving home!

I'm from Indianapolis, I was on the South side of Indianapolis. It was dark. Beautiful ❤ I'm 54 years old. I'll never see it again.. God-bless ❤

There is nothing more pleasurable than laying naked in the dimming twilight of a total solar eclipse, and I lived it! Nothing could ever beat the experience of today, the 8th of April, 2024! As I layed nude under the eclipse, on my roof, I thought to myself, this is it, the ultimate life's experience. My life is now complete. I am now ready to go.
