I love that oversized main gear in the Authority!
.Daiwa started doing that with the oversized gears and I haven't stripped one from even my $30 Daiwa reels and some are 8 years old after hard use.

I have both the Slammed IV and the Authority in different sizes and the reason I go to Penn a lot is because they're unbelievably sturdy. Yes, they are heavier than other reels but if I'm pulling hard on a fish or trying to muscle a fish away from a shark or structure the Penn reels never flex or feel like you're about to rip the reel right off the rod. Thats a lot of my fishing. I do own a Saltiga 10K if I'm casting all day to Tuna but thats a different price range altogether.

So the authority is just a improved penn Clash 😅, its what the clash second gen should have been instead of the rubbish they put out claiming to be better then the original

That's the relieve heat from the gear itself the weight itself is not an issue.. I would grade you about a c minus on your explanation
