I was 11 when I got my first period. I was freaking out and crying the entire time I was on my first period. my only choice of comfort was reading a harry potter book.

When i was 5 i saw my mom's pads and thought they were giant stickers. I stuck them on the wall.

There was one teacher in 5th grade and she gave us a BUNCH of lectures and at at the end of every lecture she would say period and whenever we laughed she said "So do you want me to explain puberty to you?". The whole class went silent

Dude, my first period was so easy. I was well educated, and felt comfortable talking about it when I got it. I wore sweatpants that day to school, black ones too. I had pads ready in my backpack since I started spotting a few days before. I thank my parents so much for educating me so well on periods. It’s great being able to bring it up, even to my dad, without it being awkward.
