REPUBLICAN SAYS 2A IS *ALL* WEAPONS; SAYS FIREARMS ARE DEFENSIVE - FORGETS GUN VIOLENCE EXISTS

THE DEBATED BILL WILL REPEAL CURRENT PISTOL PERMITTING SO CITIZENS DECIDE IF THEY ARE LEGALLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE GUN. POLICE OPPOSE IT BECAUSE THEY DONNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE CAN OR SHOULD DO THIS ON THEIR OWN. TRAINED EXPERTS HAVE HAD A HARD TIME DOING IT AS-WAS. ON TOP OF THAT POLICE SAY IT WILL MAKE IT HARDER TO TELL **WHO** IS A BAD GUY OR GOOD GUY.

Law abiding means following the laws but if there are no laws, how can a police officer easily tell if a person is nefarious? If they have a box checked on their computer that says “this person really tries to do the right thing by getting a permit” then it obviously helps the police.

Republicans say they back the blue but then caress gun rights in a way that makes EVERY single person less safe. People with a propensity to be criminals that actually may not be criminals may not bother with a gun if they know they need XYZ proof to carry a gun, whereas I am sure that without any laws they feel emboldened to do so.

To the gun lovers…. This is your thing so you need to buckle down and help come up with legit solutions so you can enjoy your thing while the rest of us don’t get murdered over it. Stop complaining about your rights. THIS IS YOUR DUTY. Don’t comment nasty here, comment SOLUTIONS for our country and I will be 100% receptive!

the reason we don’t call them offensive weapons is because the possessors of firearms are law abiding citizens who solely own said weapons because they’re a “well armed militia” whose conduct is determined by the constitution, so essential if you follow the law you can own a gun

(Also, as for our current interpretation, machine guns are considered offensive weapons because they are meant to dispense bullets at a fast and less coordinated manner, whereas rifles and handguns are precision weapons meant to take out specific targets)
