الناس التي تضاعف الثمن على الأجانب عليهم ان يخجلوا من نفسهم ويتقوا الله، ما ياخذوه منهم حرام

I am Moroccan and still get double prices from some folks and I still really don't know why. Some people just don't tolerate or value our easiness and kindness. Maybe we should be less friendly or more focused and professional when we're doing business, buying something. And also, ask multipal shops and compaire the prices if they have a huge gap between them and don't ever go there ever again abd let them know that. I know it can be in different prices according to the material and originality but still ... Buy just what you can afford, and if you find out it's just overpriced for you, confront the seller about it and then don't buy from it. Morocco has tons of shops especially for handmade products

I mentioned that Moroccans often double the price for foreigners, and this is very common, not only in Morocco but in any country. It's better, if you want to buy something, to bring a Moroccan with you to avoid being overcharged. This is something that will always keep happening.

Salam sis, so sorry to see you getting emotional in this occasion, so many scammers out there, they look at me up and down or if they hear my kids talking English they overcharge me, in restaurants they overcharge me, even in the corner shop, they give me back less change and when I tell them they act like it was only a mistake, I find it so disgusting, poeple are so greedy, this is sad to see muslims behaving like this, but I always tell them and sometimes I explode in their faces, god bless you sis and Eid mobarak.

It is a sad reality. I think this also happens to Moroccans who live outside Morocco like Europe or America. So important that before you buy something, you ask other Moroccans what the normal price is, so that you not get scammed. Also another advice to you, sister Erin, is not to say "crossing fingers", but to say "in shaa Allah" instead. May Allah bless you.

Even though I'm Moroccan sometimes I don't ask the merchant directly about the price, I ask the person beside buying the same item, how much he pays or how much the merchant demands, so I can say that the guy just paid this (sometimes i can lower the price), so you can always ask someone how much she paid for the product, also you may need to pick merchants, based on their attitude, or are they overselling.

I have just a suggestion for you, if you accept it, to avoid the Haugh price, or a double price, try to make a friend or too, girls of course, they can go with you when you wanna buy something. They know how to speak with those sellers

Camryn, don’t worry, it’s not a real reason to be a moroccan, you’re simply a free woman and that’s we like you DIMA EL MAGHRIB

As a Moroccan from Europe I also get double prices often 😂 they see someone that’s a foreigner or dressed as a foreigner they always try. But it’s up to them, I also like to spent my money at the ‘honest’ shopkeepers. Eid Mubarak

My experience is that Wherever I GO, I deal with "shops" as if I am LOCAL, "shopping 🛒" with a Local "Mindset" not of a "Tourist or gringo"; I move on if I feel, know, the price is NOT " Right".
Happy Fast-breaking!

Yeah they also do it with Moroccans. It's how they work. Bargaining may be intense for people who are not used to it.

From Kénitra, morocco 😊...Eid Mubarak said mrs. Erin... normaly, in this occasion you should always buy clothes at least 15 days before the Eid😊...and about the guy who told you 600, he has done this because he's a jerk 😡, he shouldn't do this kind of staff with people😮...you have to know that we moroccans, are always negociating prices ! Specially for new outfits comming from Casablanca, with low quality and sold by higher price !😢...you have well done for asking someone to go with you to those places 😊...by the way, you and Camryn are doing great with Darija, just know that all of you guys are Welcome, that you are mgharba, and you are a good Maghribia lady 😅. Enjoy ! 🎉😊👍😀🥳

That happens to me sister and I’m Moroccan- to them it makes sense but it winds me up. I always go with my husband his bartering style is so extreme the shop keeper regrets giving us the high price in the first place.Eid Mubarak to you and your family, may Allah bless with long life and good health ❤

In fact, it is not a matter of the buyer being a foreigner or a local, but rather a matter of mastering the art of bargaining for a price that is suitable for the buyer and seller. This is common when buying clothes, shoes, blankets, household items, etc., with the exception of food items. If it is proven that a seller has doubled the price of food items, there is a price control authority that must be contacted to file a complaint with them to punish him.

if you get an unfair price from those ratail snakes just walk away and theyll call back u to give u a better price and then ask for what you want, and believe me its not because your a foreigner they do it with moroccan as well and its how we do it, dont let your head believes that your not home or not welcomed, your welcomed and you will be always welcomed and believe you will get used to it .
