I love this character, and I love the fact that he is like your teacher, you will never be able to beat the game if you don't beat him first by learning all combat mechanics.

Genichiro is actually a really interesting character especially since he fulfills the role of the rival. He desires kuro’s blessing but you’re the one who has it so he tries to prove himself superior, he also has some form of immortality and resurrection and he has the other mortal blade! And another thing is you fight him at various points in the game, the beginning, middle, and end each time showing just how much you’ve progressed in skill and abilities.

He was like the real MC of game. I would play a Sekiro 2 with him as a MC, going to underworld to take Mortal Sword. Would be epic.
