So I was thinking, Can you use a 4TB Samsung EVO 870 SSD with an Atomos Ninja V and Andycine Lunchbox 2? Well, the answer is no.
However, I though it was worth testing as a 4TB Lunchbox 2 for my Ninja V would have been awesome, as I record a lot of 4K 60FPS using ProRes 422 HQ.
The reason why this combination does not work is because the PCB from inside the 4TB EVO 870 is too big for the inside of the Lunchbox 2.
Although I did know that the PCB from the 4TB was bigger than the 1TB and 2TB EVO 860 and EVO 870 SSDs, going back two years ago. As some things change over time as far as computer components are concerned and their physical sizes and construction are concerned. I took the gamble to see if the PCB for the 4TB EVO 870 had gotten smaller, but it hadn't.
Oh well, at least you know not to try the same.
