7th Pay Commission Update: Central Govt Employees Get 3% Dearness Allowance Hike Ahead Of Diwali

After the Chhattisgarh government announced 4% hike in DA, the central government employees are likely to get a hike in their dearness allowance (DA) of 3% as expected on Diwali. This expected increase would increase the DA from the existing 50% to 53% for more than one crore central government employees and pensioners. Sources indicate that the announcement may be made closer to the festival time after the DA was only adjusted in July this year despite earlier expectations.
