I love all the homes we have visited before. So many ideas and inspiration. But I am with Mamma! I love a beautiful taxidermy deer head over a fireplace. I am now 73 but remember as a little girl visiting my Auntie Frances whose husband Uncle Hank was a hunter. They always had a deer head over the fireplace. And every Christmas she would put red shiney brite ornaments on the tips of his antlers. I will think of that vision til the day I die. It was just magic to my childhood mind.

I would like to do an "Americana" Christmas this year because we are saving our Republic this year!

My Christmas style is very traditional, but last year I incorporated a Ralph Lauren theme with my blue-and-white cloisonné and a navy/dark green/crimson plaid ribbon and accent pieces. I found the plaid charger plates at Big Lots last year, and used my blue willow plates with my red snowman salad plates on top—so pretty. This year I am adding a navy velvet ribbon that is backed in gold, and a double-faced cobalt satin ribbon, along with the tartan plaid dupioni silk ribbon. Can’t wait to start decorating!

I always decorated my dollhouse for christmas when I was a little girl! My girls never really got into dolls or dollhouses other than Barbies, so....I guess I'm waiting for grandchildren for that to repeat!

I love the mice house! Very cute! I have been doing gnomes but in a way that is “wow, I just found the gnome in that vignette!” way. So now, my grandchildren and visitors realize there are gnomes somewhere in every room from Thanksgiving to New Year’s- Thanksgiving ones, Christmas ones and sparkly ones for New Year’s- then the gnomes get packed away for most of the year though sometimes a Valentine, St. Patrick’s or Stars and Stripes one will be found somewhere in the house! And no, I do not have a gnome garden or anything that would indicate that gnomes invade my home during the winter holidays! 😅

I love each and every one of these! Me, personally am a Christmas maximalist! We host Christmas Eve with my side of the family and we host Christmas Day with the Hub’s side. Lots of babies and children, therefore my focus in decorating is to bring the whimsical nostalgic magic of Christmas that I felt as a child in the 1970s/early 80s. I kind of have a theme every year, however the past couple of years has been more classic colors-red, dark green, gold, and this year I added a black/white harlequin ribbon and black beaded garlands! I incorporated nutcrackers this year and they look adorable on my mantle! I have lots of lights, ribbons, vignettes everywhere. I want the children to be mesmerized by the magic of Christmas, and I want the adults to feel as if they are a child again!

These places are so beautiful I wish I could do something like that but I don’t have anyone who comes to my house we are older and only have 2 daughters that come occasionally, I truly love Christmas it makes me me so happy to see all the beautiful houses also make me sad that I don’t have a Christmas home with so many beautiful things

I decorate what i feel, what textures I want, what colors make me happy. The holidays should be what you like. Not a trend or what someone else does. I do my home and help a friend do her home for christmas. He family is always impressed what i come up with for christmas. Suggestion do what you like.
