The advantage of using an audio generator of this kind is the stability of its generated signal in terms of voltage & frequency over the desired frequency range . Total harmonic distortion of output is very low. When testing the design of small signal audio amplifiers you want an input signal with as little distortion as possible, with as much stability as possible so that you can accurately measure performance characteristics of your amplifier over operating bandwidth. Next the audio generator is capable of very small continuous changes in frequency with turn of dial etc. An excellent piece of lab equipment for design & performance testing. A very good find along with CRT oscilloscope.

Dude, great video. What would you recommend I get to generate sound to quash my neighbors dogs from barking. I'd need between 20 kHz and 35 kHz and I have the tweeters that can handle 100 watts. Any recommendations? Thank you.

Yes, I think I got that. Apparently: the Roman catholic church, changed the 432Hz used in Music, to 440Hz, which lowers our mental ability or comprehension?
Any Musos out there can hopefully, set up their instruments, back to the true scales of 432Hz? I hope there are people out there who can put this right?
