There was an scp that was a contained dessert, in which 2 d-class went in to recover equipment from a fallen d-class, and when they got to the equipment they got surrounded by, (if i remember correctly) rock snakes. One of the d-class (who worked with animals in the past probably poacher) realized it was a hunting tactic and didnt want to fight knowing they'll get unalived, the other freaked out and got promoted to afterlife. The d-class came back and the scientists decided to promote him from d-class to expedition supervisor of that scp to route and lead new d-class in future experiments. The last part i dont really know ehat he got promoted to but he is no longer a generic d-class

There is a certain case of a D-class actually getting a second chance at life. Basically a really good teacher within a old CD education game was able to turn anyone who used it into a genius. So the foundation then tested it with a D-class and they became really smart.after that they erased all his memories of him being a D-class and allowed him to go to a university to become a Lawyer. Rare wholesome moment for the SCP universe
