If you're itching to start gardening- never fear! There are a few things you can start from seed in January in Zone 6.
These are the main items I like to get started in January for my Zone 6, Ohio garden. All of these will be started indoors and then transplanted to the garden or moved to a cold frame in early spring.
My estimated last spring frost date is approx. May 10th.

Gardening is way more than just throwing a seed in the ground to wee what happens. Just watching your instructional vids, I’ve learned about timing, spacing, zones, & more! Keep growing. Eventually your channel will get more subs because you really love and care about helping others. Respect to you! 🧑‍🌾 I’m working with 3/4 acre. You’ve given great ideas.

We start our Blauwgroene Bandit (winter leek) and Bulgarian Giant (autumn leek) Leek seeds mid January here in zone 6a. We plant them out using the Eliot Coleman dibble method mid April. We harvest the Bandit Leeks well into winter.

I am in Zone 6 is eastern WA and I watched this 2 years ago and last year and am again watching it this year. Thank you. I am originally from central Central FL..perfect for growing year round..not too hot like South Central FL and not as much freeze like in North Central FL. Moving to WA and having to adjust and having to grow in containers as I live on the 3rd floor!

Adding perhaps a short video of setting up a grow light such as how much verical travel is needed as I'm rebuilding because I now want to hold plants inside several weeks longer to avoid cool temperature stunting my tomato and peppers as this year happened.
Thank you for the teaching Lady

I just found your videos today and am learning so much, adjusting the timing a little bit because I'm 5b. Last few years I have had transplant shock on a lot of things and I'm learning that I'm planting too early 😅... no one in my family gardens and I've just been learning as I go along. Thank you for your wonderfully educational videos!

Last year was my first year with a raised bed. I did ok. I am learning how many things I did wrong! I am looking forward to getting at it again this year, hopefully with better luck.
Tonight I am going through my seeds and figuring out what I will be starting tomorrow! 6B zone

Awesome information as always! Thanks for keeping it in the flower and vegetable garden. Most of the other channels I used to watch have all gone on to do other, not so garden focused things. Been a subscriber for a long time and continue to learn more and more! Thanks from my 6A Missouri garden!

Jenna, Thank you for all the correct info. In watching several gardening tips on you tube, I am glad I found you and the help you put on your channel. I have never subscribed to any until now. You are right on and very helpful down to what seeds are best for our area and when to start indoor seeds as well as when to plant outdoors. You are GREAT! Thank you.
