Always loved Arcanine. Might be my love for canines in general but honestly, one of the best yet simple designs. Gen 1 really excelled in the 'less is more' when it came to designs 😂

Arcanine seems like it'd be the kind of dog that'd set bushes on fire while marking his territory on them

You also need to remember that natural creatures need to have reaction speeds fast enough that they can instinctively move or tense for certain scenarios. Arcanine can probably react extremely quick while running, leading to fewer injuries occurring for itself, other creatures, and even a rider.

Honestly I like this. There are so many pokemon that seem nonthreatening at first but are straight up dangerous. I have the head canon that all of the pokemon entry's in the pokedex are written by kids. So they're all over exaggerated.

Look, if I were to die from the impact of a speedy fluffy fire boi then so be it, I wouldn't have it any other way. Kind of like a bear in real life, I want to hug a big fluffy forest puppy, and if that's how I gotta go out then so be it lol

I’d be more worried about the lava slug that’s hotter than the sun and thus it’s very existence should burn the entire planet to a cinder. 😛

Personally, my head canon is that the Pokédex entries are actually written by the player characters, ie children/young teens, and thus are full of bullshit and the Pokemon Professors are such bad scientists that they take everything their unpaid child labour writes at face value. 😉

The point of impact is really important. A truck hits you bluntly. Our big floofy doggo has paws, claws, teeth and oh yes fire jets. Still want to pet Arcanine.
