Harry Nilsson - Jump Into The Fire 'Remastered'

One of the great musical talents from the 60's and 70's - taken from us way too early.

This is the 2004 "remastered" version - a seven-minute epic with extended instrumentals, manic drumming and Herbie Flower’s detuned bass all in one mix. This one never gets old.

I am sure I use to drive my parents crazy with this blasting out on my little 3 in 1 stereo when in my youth, still a fantastic sound...but only if it is played loud.

I just found out I have cancer and am scheduled to start radiation and chemotherapy in a week. THIS IS MY FIGHT SONG. I'm gonna jump into the fire and slay it!

One of the great "Stoner Rock" tunes of the 70's. It's a shame nobody plays this stuff on the oldies stations these days. If it's longer than 4 minutes you have to look it up on the internet.

Nilsson was ahead of his time. RIP

One of the all-time greatest rock & roll songs. RIP bassist Herbie Flowers.

I firmly believe that the 112 dislikes of this song are because it's only 7 minutes long.

Every time I listen to this song, I always look up out the window of my car to see if any helicopters are following me.

I was fortunate to grow up in the 70's and believe me the concerts that rolled into Detroit were draining on my limited pockets

Hit me like a cement tuck!! I had forgot how much I loved this song! Blew a lot of smoke to this song and the whole "Nilsson Smillson" album back in '72. Every few years I'll hear one of Harry's songs and I'll have to binge on his music for a few days. I really have no words to describe Harry's talent, he was different than the other musicians. He never toured and was seldom in the limelight and he had a three octave vocal range. He produced and sang some of the best music and sounds of a generation of music freaks!

Starts off as a fusion of Rolling Stones and Echo and the Bunnymen and ends like Marquee Moon...all in 1971

What a song!

You will never know how great this song was until you hear it on a Quadrophonic system. Just the drum solo had 4 different solos. All playing together with a different solo coming out of each speaker. The signing echoes would also move from speaker to speaker around the room.

This crazy man was so insanely talented and brilliant in his musical works that he literately crashed and burned way to young and we all missed out on what could have been! What a writer/arranger and what a beautiful voice this man had!!! All in his head!!! Sad he had some flipping demons in his head that chased him. When the Beatles looked him up, it all changed for Harry for some reason!!! Tragic story only because he had a family and also a library of music in his head!! !!! I for one am a huge fan!!!!

Yup. Was Seriously depressed tonight. In a BAD way. Figured the only logical thing to do was blast this and dance my blues away like a maniac. Good call on my part!!! Feel like a new person...Thanks Harry!

Harry Nilsson's wildest, hardest rocking song. Burns hot as fire.

I wanna twirl around a raging bonfire like a dervish or a shaman performing an ancient tribal rite when I hear this drum solo!

Just discovered this track thanks to The Serpent. It’s blown me away. What a talent. The Beatles were right

This song is the reason we all went out in the 70's to purchase " Hi - Fi " equipment. Now I get
8D sound on my headset and this song still blows me away. Harry you left a lingering legacy
of high fidelity addicts, you crazy S O B you !
