"We don't use useless silent letters" harsh but entirely fair dig at Danish.

I like the common sense approach to Greenlandic alphabet

Same with Hungarian!! You pronounce everything the way it’s written. Once you know the alphabet, you know how to read every word. 😊 Much love.

No useless silent letters!! English should definitely adopt that. Also the use of the letter q. I love the letter q is so pretty and Greenlandic uses it a lot.

Vaš jezik je kao srpski.I mi pišemo onako kako govorimo.Kod nas kažu:"Piši kako govoriš, čitaj kako je napisamo."
Hvala Vam što sam saznala toliko divnih stvari o Grenlandu.❤❤❤❤❤❤

I’m loving your content! I want to know about all the northern indigenous nations because I recently discovered that my great-great grandfather was a Saàmi man who emigrated to America rather than live in a reserve as ordered by the Norwegian government. Thank you for being an educator and making me better informed about the beautiful world of indigenous people! ❤

Silent letters develop with older written languages, pronouncing a word changes with time but writing it doesn’t keep up with the change.

The Inuktitut syllabics are a really beautiful and efficient writing system. Unfortunately, many younger speakers have started advocating for their eradication and replacement with the Latin alphabet in order to make it “easier” for younger generations to learn. What they don’t realize is that in the long run, it’s the syllabics that are easier for people learning the language…
