David did not have issues with sexual sin. His major sin, which the Bible highlights, is adultery. Real biblical adultery, that is only based on the marital status of a woman, not a man.

Polygyny is more than someone having a flaw. There are regulations in the Torah/Law for multiple wives. The only regulation for Kings was that they not multiply wives. David did not greatly multiply, Solomon did, and we see that it led his heart astray from God.

The Law was given through Moses who was used as a tool. But the Law, is God’s Law and has not been abolished.

The New Testament only says that bishops/overseers are to be of one wife. And it makes sense as how can an overseer have multiple wives, children from said wives, and lead a church? One would suffer. For everyone else, it’s allowed, biblically speaking.

Polygamy is just fine today in the church! Jesus depicts himself as polygamist in parable of 10 virgins. Exodus 21:10, God gave king David his multiple wives. This pastor is lying and twisting scripture.
