I like what Rep. Ruwa Romman said, "If voting did not matter, people would not try so hard to make it so difficult for other people to not be able to do it."

If you want to increase election turnout. Push for elections to be held on weekends or declare it a national holiday. It’s lone overdue.

I have spoken directly with my congresswoman. I'm a service member, and she has directly acted on the things I have discussed with her.

Conservative views have a historical rubric they can follow, while progressive movements have slight differences in the future they wish to build, which results in small infighting and longer discussion that generally leads nowhere when each subgroup wants progressive change, but through different means and with slight variations that deeply matter.

Workers rights being seen as communistic is absolutely wild.

If voting doesn’t matter, then why does the right vote so much?
—Voting DOES matter, is one of the most political actions you almost EVERYONE can make.

“The conservative vision is our entire history and the progressive vision has never existed in the U. S.” Is such a powerful point.

Back in 2016, I was talking to a colleague of mine about Trump's win. They stated "Hillary was clearly more qualified, than him. How did he win?" I said "Because the Democrats have one BIG TENT and several smaller tents under that one and it is hard to get everyone on the same page. As screwed up as the messaging is, the Republicans have ONE BIG TENT!"

It's amazing that this video is talking about this today.

People need to hear what Ruwa Romman is saying. She has it exactly right! If there is a choice between those who would set us way back and those who would keep it the same...you need to vote for the same, but still do the work to push forward the next time. She explains it better than I have ever heard someone do it before.
OMG...she is also repeating my biggest complaint about the Green Party!! They need to build the grass roots before they run an obvious vanity candidate for President!

Just a reminder for all the purists - if people didn’t vote for Obama because he was originally opposed to gay marriage, it probably wouldn’t be legal today. We were able to move the needle with Obama as president. We never would’ve moved the needle under McCain or Romney. As much as we all want change now and as much as we deserve change now, change happens gradually. It’s not right or fair, but it is the reality of the situation.

The single issue that progressives need to gather around should be campaign finance reform, government transparency, and anti-corruption. If we get those issues under control the rest will sort itself out. If we don't get these issues sorted we will never get the rest of our issues fixed and what little concessions we do get will get undermined and chipped away (ie. Affordable care).

There was one point where I became disillusioned with how the government works and I was trying to figure out who started driving this country into the ground. I watched one of your videos about Ronald and you helped me figure out all the pieces and it suddenly clicked. Your videos are awesome.

I remind everyone that two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward. Getting to the future we know is possible will not be easy, but it will be worth all the hard slog once we've done it.

"To get progressive laws passed, you need strategy, not getting everything you want." This is the first time I've heard this and believed it, but... What does that actually *look* like? How do we tell it apart from "liberal" politicians selling out the oppressed?

Herding cats is difficult. Progressive people generally are free thinkers and are much harder to get consensus

I donated and volunteered for the first time and I feel great about it. I'm low income but $10 is not going to change my life and 2 nights on a phone bank is not too much to ask. And I feel great about it. As Michelle Obama said do something, If we all do a little something we can finally be rid of Trump forever.

I've found that actual contact with fellow liberal people very restorative. It takes you out of your bubble and makes you feel less alone. I went to the local county fair to work the Democrats tent. Made contact with the guy running for the state representative seat, the house representative seat and a county commissioner. I learned a lot, and they listened when I shared my views and my own situation. It's the best step forward since I went to a Bernie Sanders rally 10 years ago.

I learned about Rep Romman's work only recently and obviously there's been a spotlight on her this past week. I can't put into words how much I admire her and the work she is doing. Thank you for having her on the channel!
