Only after all the bad press from review tech USA and josh etc did you guys take the hint and actually started refurbishing the consoles, also lowered the prices to a decent level.

I had cousins that had a ps3 in the late 2000s. My mom let me rent a ps3 game to play on their system, and "little big planet" was the only one I was remotely aware of. I remember being amazed by how smooth everything was.
PS forgot what year it was, but I was in highschool 2006-2010.
