When it rises from its place of setting, all people will believe, but on that day ‘no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, ’ [al-An’aam 6:158].”

I'd like to point out that eventho NASA excluded the big rip, we have to believe it because the Quran states in many verses that the heaven will rip apart or break apart
"When the sky breaks apart" (Surah Infitar)
"When the sky has rent asunder" (Surah Inshiqaq)

the universe is expanding at an accelerating speed, so mathematically speaking, it WILL reach a speed where even the smallest objects will rip apart, it's a question of whether the universe will survive long enough to witness this or not, but according to the Quran it will, we won't but the universe will, remember that they once thought that the sun is stationary and they would laugh at you if you said it's not
