Ryan Gosling plays a genuinely oppressed Ken in the Barbie movie! Ken's don't have property rights they cant drive and cant sit next to women in vehicles! They exist sonly to satisfy the barbies need for platonic no commitment relationships. Du to this the Barbies reaction to even basic doll right is outrage! because when You’re Accustomed to Privilege, Equality Feels Like Oppression

I guess what the Barbie movie succeed at is unintentionally continuing the “Ryan Gosling is literally me” role model archetype.

They went so woke, the movie went full circle and accidently turned into a based parody.

Jordan Peterson will have a field day with this one.
A notable point of his Cathy Newman interview was what do women really want: a male to dominate or a competent man to partner with.
Dominating a male can be gratifying but a strong partner will provide much more long term satisfaction

Someone noted that Ryan Gosling's most popular roles are all the same archetype: Vaguely lost and confused men trying to find their place in the world. This is the underlying core of "literally me". The fact that men feel lost and purposeless.

And barbie unintentionally created another one for young men to latch onto.

Good job

The ken subplot is the best part of the movie that and barbie hating the fascist feminist barbie world she helped reinstate and leaving to live the real world patriarchy and be a mother

BARBIE: It's all about her, having the nicest things and being the center of the universe. Ken is her pet/trophy/decoration, he's just there to make her look good.
GI JOE: Women are fully capable of serving as heroes alongside men. They can shoot, fight, fly aircraft, drive tanks, and save the day, too. We are all members of a team, with different talents, and we all contribute- A real hero doesn't need to put others down to be better, he lifts them up and respects their talents- whether they are a man or woman, no matter their race or background- we're a TEAM and we respect one another.
GI Joe, a toy marketed to little boys, is legitimately more empowering to women and sent a more positive mesage than Barbie.

It's a weird coincidence that Ryan Gosling keeps getting cast as the "he's literally me fr" roles for modern men lol.

It's weird that after this movie Ken has now become very popular because he's a mistreated underdog who just want to be treated equally.

If this movie had been made in the 90s the Barbies would have realized in the end that treating the Kens as second class citizens is wrong and given everyone equal rights.

Love that the left aren't even disguising their contempt for the equal rights they preach so much about.

This may be the most pro men’s rights movie I’ve ever heard of.

This reminds me of the cartoon strip that spawned the 'new guy' meme.
They wrote this thinking it would make them look good, however being sociopaths they ended up making themselves look terrible.
If that meme is anything to go by they won't learn a thing and will consider this response to be an attack on them.

Ken felt validated as person because someone asked him "what time is it?" Barbie is the greatest villain written in centuries.

I still find it hilarious how the woke's villains almost always turn out to be the heroes of the story while the hero is actually the villain. And they're not even doing it on purpose. They seriously believe their hero is a hero and their villains are villains. Woe to those who call good evil and evil good and all that, I guess.

Plot twist: the Kens' re-oppressed status in post-revolt Barbieland makes them a prime recruitment target when Cobra agents from the nearby G.I. Joe Land discover the situation.

A story that could only be written in a nation on the decline. Where women think they are meant to compete with men. Where teamwork and embracing our natural differences and how they complement the differences of the opposite gender.
