Sagrada: How-to-Play and Review! (My #3 Most-Played Game!)

NOTE: Empty spaces in your window are -1 point each at the end of the game! (-3 points each if you're playing solo!)

Sagrada is a fantastic, abstract, family game designed by Adrian Adamescu and Daryl Andrews. This is a game I bought just about two years ago and it's been played over 70 times since! There's something so satisfying about dice drafting and the puzzle of completing your own personal stained glass window while fulfilling the placement requirements and going after the endgame objectives is wonderfully fun! Definitely a huge hit with my family... and I'm sure it would be a great fit for your family as well!

Let me know what you think of Sagrada... or what your favorite dice game is! (I'd have to really think about what my favorite dice game is... I mean, technically A Feast for Odin uses dice and it's my #1 favorite game right now, so... maybe that one? Otherwise, probably Teotihuacan!)

I wanted this to help get my wife into tabletop games. She has NO desire for deckbuilders, worker placement, resource management, euro depth, etc. BUT, this is a pretty, easily explainable, readily replayable, highly variable game that engages her appreciation of the beauty of the game and doesn't take all day to play. I sent her this video, and she was ready to game!

I bought this one for myself for Christmas 😊😊 My hubby likes it too! (He has beat me EVERY time 🤣) The solo mode seems impossible to beat. Haven’t beat it yet but I’ll keep trying 😊. GREAT VIDEO and Review!! 😊

Thanks for your explanation how to play and your review. Our family and friends that are casual gamers, tend to like abstract, puzzle-like games. Azul and several of it’s versions are huge hits. Unfortunately, Azul is limited to 4 players. So, I’ve just placed the order for Sagrada and the expansion set. I think it will be a nice addition to the Azul collection, especially since player count can be up to 6 players with the expansion! And I will definately consider solo play too!

Azul, Splendor and Sagrada, all you need if you like puzzle games.

Sagrada with the 5-6 player expansion is the best way to play it for any player count!

I haven’t played nor own this game but I think the 2 actions you can do on your turn (favorite tokens & placing a die.) are optional. And every empty slot on your board is worth negative points.

Also, where did you see this game at less than 30 dollars? I seem to see it at online stores at 40 dollars.

Great video by the way!
