I know poison sting got a buff, but I think they might still have play against the plethora of ground types gonna take over

For me, the new season makes no sense at all without a nerfing of Feraligatr. The energy production is simply too high and the Pokemon are too strong. It's going to be a boring season like it was back then with Noctowl and Medi. Nintantic has changed all sorts of things, but nothing with this Pokemon, so all the other changes are gone

I always prefer serperior because unlike jumpluff, the lack of the secondary flying move plus the extra bulk allows it to destroy clodsire.
