I'm an intermediate guitar player and I've learned this song before but not with the detail that you put in your videos. I recently subscribed because i like the songs you play and how you teach them. To the point, no time messing around, and it is challenging for me. Thanks for putting the time in to make these videos!

I don’t understand why anybody would dislike this video, or any of his video, s.This is top notch guitar instruction for free.

This is by far the best tutorial I watched for the Gilmore opening part. Great!

this channel doesn't have nearly the number of subscribers it deserves.

i really appreciate your particular tutorial for this song because of the attention to detail and tips on how to get the right feel of the track, it really made a huge difference towards getting it to sound right and as a complete beginner improved my playing a lot specially for the intro part.

Great playing, thank you very much. Nothing much in fingers, no showing off, smooth voice and a big talent inspiring me to torture my guitar. Stumbled upon your website a month ago and was so glad. I've learned "Nothing else matters'' using your tutorial and my wife looks at me with an interest, like 40 years ago. God bless your soul Sir, thank you. To be able to see your lesson about Pink Floyd's "have a sigar''

Yours is the ONLY lesson on YouTube that shows how play this correctly, the way Gilmour does it... Now I know it is a pull off on that B string bend (5th fret) I couldn't get it to sound the way Gilmour does it from the other lessons. Thanks.

Another masterpiece! First by Gilmour and then by our master-class teacher, Mr. S.U.a.P.

I play this song all the time. I like to use Elixer custom light strings. The 3 lower strings (EAD) are their light string gauges and the upper 3 (GBE) are their extra light. It makes bending those strings (GBE) easier.

I know that you had made this video eight years ago. I have never been able (or have seen anyone able) to make that bend on the third string. I've always used my middle finger and come close, but there was something "unnatural" about it. You've answered my forty year question. Also, the bend on the second string is easier now. Thank you.

Yes!! The number of subscribers, or hits, should be through the roof. The strumming pattern, the tab, the chord window as he’s playing is all their. Absolutely the best of all worlds, when trying to learn a song, even the timing when he sings the vocals, ( which is a struggle for me), is all their.. please keep using this format Dave. Much appreciated.

I’ve learned a couple of other ways to play this solo, and your method is definitely the best sounding! I appreciate how in-depth your tutorials are, and how much knowledge you have! Thank you 😊

Hands down the best teacher I've found on youtube. Even a dummy like myself can understand every bit of this tutorial. Fantastic!

This is fantastic. I learned the solo really well on electric guitar first to get the feel of the bends, then transitioned to acoustic and kept putting on lighter strings until i could hit the same notes with the bends.

I learned this a long time ago and forgot some of it. I clicked on your video to see what I had forgot. This had to be one best, most straight forward tutorials I’ve seen. Thanks

I've loved this song for many years but never once tried to play the opening I found this lesson and wanted to, Thanks a bunch.

pause at 6:03 I just noticed that 2 note chord D5 and G4 is the same as G-open B-open. You can do a pull-off of the chord before it and then play G&B strings open. A little easier to get at.

1:00 - 1:15 I also read in an interview that he used all three fingers to bend the string where a lot of people use only two or one.
