Introducing the new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door 63 S E Performance!

The name’s a bit of a mouthful, but don’t let that put you off, especially given it’s the most powerful road car AMG has ever made!!

That’s right, this hybrid 4-door behemoth comes powered by both a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 and an electric motor to deliver an enormous 843hp & 1,400Nm of torque! Sure the engine may be the same one as found in the previous generation, but given it delivers an extra 204hp from the new electric motor, are you really complaining?

The engine’s not the only thing that isn’t new compared to the old generation, however. When it comes to the design… Well, it looks pretty much identical to the old version! Perhaps it’s a different story once you step inside? Sadly not... If anything, it’s even harder to spot what’s new with the interior!

So there’s a whole lot of similarities with the old version of the AMG GT 4-door. With that in mind, is this all-new hybrid still worth the expected £160,000 price tag?! Mat here to give you everything you need to know!

When the cars get so much power, the acceleration 0-100 km/h is basically irrelevant. All super powerfull cars does the job in ca 3s. You should instead meassure 0-200 km/h.

”how about we stuff in two turbos, a V8, an automatic gearbox, a electric motor between gearbox/engine as generator/starter, a battery, an extra gearbox for the electric engine, four wheel drive, half the displays in the world, active suspension, we call in E performance as in its Electric and more environmelally friendly and let the second hand market worry about components replacements and repairs”😂

Hello Matt, I remember just this very week where you said, in a recent drag race video, we should comment what other tests you want us to suggest for you to do , so here are my 2 suggestions:

1. 0-100-0 test
2 . Do a U-turn race where you do a 1/2 mile drag race then after passing the half mile you brake as hard as you can and turn around and floor it, the winner is the first person to come back and cross the starting line.
