Hello, I have an exam on decision and CPA is hard for me, however I made some tips that help me draw the network better. I have never seen these put together like this and some are my own:

1. Arcs first, nodes later: draw the arcs from the table but dont add a node until it is completely finalised. (This is one of your tips and mentioned at 30:40)

2. Sketch first, number nodes later: Don't get fixated over the numer of the nodes, number them last.

3. If you have an activity that is dependent on multiple activities (Ex. F - B, C), draw a node in empty space and draw the arc coming out of this node. Now connect the required arcs/dummys for the activity. This works wonders for me ESPECIALLY if there are repeated activities with the same multiple dependencies (like Activities E and F at 30:40 ; draw node 4 out in empty space, and draw arcs E and F out of it. Now connect the required nodes. C can directly connect to this node but D requires a dummy to connect.)

4. Activities that don't appear in the "Immediately proceding activities column" will always connect to the sink (lets call them sink tasks) so use Tip 3 by drawing the sink in empty space and connecting these "sink tasks". BE CAREFUL THOUGH. If multiple "sink tasks" come out of the same node, you have to use an intermediate node and a dummy to connect it to the sink. (You do this for task E at 30:40).

What do you think of these tips on drawing networks? Can you suggest any improvements to tips you can say and any more tips you can give?
