Winter Weather Forecast 2016-2017

The Climate Prediction Center released their thoughts on the upcoming winter, and while La Niña won't be a huge player this winter, it'll have an effect.

Huh, last winter was pretty snowy and cold for an El Nino winter, at least up here in Michigan. Sounds like this winter will *REALLY* pack a punch, heck we're already feeling it now.

I don't understand what this prediction is based on, at least for the east. All signs look like a colder winter especially past December.

We have already had more snow and ice this winter, way more, in northern Oregon. Frozen rain last night gave us icy conditions for the mornung commute. Then it warned up and the ice turned to just rain, heavy at times. It is 37 now at 10:00 p.m. So no ice likely tonight but they are still saying a possibility of snow this Monday. If it does, that will be our 4th winter storm (snow and or ice). Highly unusual.

Good lord, is everyone so bad at geography that they can't find their state on the map? I don't understand why people are asking for specific places, just read the maps.
