I am glad you were able to have a taste of the great roads (and trails) in Idaho! We like it when people are surprised here.

Will a full face helmet fit in a bag? How much buffeting? Can you adjust windshield? If so can you make adjustments while riding? Larger windshield available? Matching top box available? If so, how big is it? What does it cost? How tall are you? How much leg bend? Are foot pegs adjustable? Where’s the HP on the RPM curve?

I’m in the UK and I’ve owned this bike for nearly 3 weeks. In fact had its 600 mile service last week. It’s a great bike. I love the quickshifter. The handling is possibly the best I’ve ever had, apart from a KTM Superduke. Acceleration is smooth and controlled, but without the arm wrenching I get with my BMW R1250RT, though it’s much lighter of course. The radar cruise control is excellent, though of course it’s not as versatile as it is on a vehicle with an automatic gearbox (in reality, a car). Haven’t experienced the advanced braking system (fortunately). The TFT screen works well, though the Garmin based GPS is fairly basic and fiddly to set up. As a pillion machine it’s okay for shortish rides but my wife finds it nowhere as comfortable as the RT. The luggage also is okay, but panniers are a strange shape, and there’s no central locking like on the RT. Mind you, the RT costs around £6k more!

I have over 20k miles on the current generation bike. I added an exhaust, Corbin saddle, sport screen, and had the ECU re-flashed to get all the available power in all gears. I always ride it in full power mode with all the safety nannies turned off. I've also never scraped the pegs during aggressive cornering(A-1 mode, and setting pre-load properly would have likely fixed that for Chase). I would love it if Yamaha would bring over a lower cost base model, like they have in Europe. Give me the TFT, cruise, heated grips and basic abs. Power modes, electronic suspension, TC, SC, radar or integrated braking are not really necessary in my opinion. I can't see myself up-grading to this new model just for the TFT and slightly better controls.

Bogus Basin Road (mountain road) was resurfaced about a year and 1/2 ago. It was unrideable for a while, I waited for all the cars and trucks to smash down all the gravel that needed to be pushed in. Also in the Treasure Valley of Boise, development is so rapid there are dirt and gravel trucks everywhere so corners there is always gravel.

The adaptive cruise control with quick sifter sounds amazing! There's plenty of elevation changes in VA with busy traffic & being able to downshift to pass without dealing with throttle & resetting the cruise sounds sweet 😊

It was so clearly heard in your tone of voice after you had those close calls in the mountains. I totally get it man. I'll couple close calls can really shake you up and screw up an entire ride. I'd like to think I'm pretty conservative, but I've overcooked many a corner, and that really gets you thinking about your mortality.

I got a new ‘22 for cheap last week and I love it. Your last review sold me. Thanks man!

Great review! If I hadn't got such a crazy good deal on a brand new 2022 T9GT that I picked up last spring I would have loved to of wait for this. That dash is so much better! either way, still loving mine!!! Best bike I've had yet.

How did you like Boise? I have lived here for 23 year and think we have some of the best roads for riding and yes road conditions can be rough at best

I was seriously waiting for this bike to come out in the USA... until I managed to find a Triumph Tiger 1200 GT pro for 18k out the door. Couldn't beat that! This looks like a great option though.

I had the 2022 model and had to sell it after like 4 months... Great bike but I could not get comfortable on it. The seat was horrible and I could not get the bars in a good position that didn't;t have my neck in agony after an hour in the saddle.

I for rid of the Tracer 9 GT and got a new ZX14R and the Ninja is WAY more comfortable for me. Weird, right?

Sport Touring is an underrated category in the U.S.

*OC* They finally got rid of the Squidward gauges and have a proper TFT. I agree that this definitely fixes all of the issues I had with the previous Tracer 9 GT. So, did they fix the tiny-ass side cases? It bugged me so much how an XL full face helmet didn't fit in them! That's a deal breaker for me in a touring bike. Sucks that I'd have to go to Shad or Givi to get proper side cases...

I had to see this video twice. First time I was only thinking about that phone almost falling of your right pocket! 😂

I just recently purchased a new BMW F900XR which has many of the same features as this. I think Yamaha did a great job on this machine, but seriously they need to do more color options. I know some folks will love this gray/black but to me it just looks bland.

I drove the 2021 model for a week in Europe with the weird display. Fenomenal bike!!! Loved it in spite of the display.
I’m gonna get this new one. I wish it had Apple CarPlay like Goldwing does

Yamaha should add to the next upgrade: 1) Blind spot monitoring 2) Hill hold 3) Both headlights on in low beam. Then it would be perfect.

On my XS11 street mode meant there was concrete or asphalt under the tires. Nice bike, good review. Thanks.
