F Major Scale in thirds for trombone

Показать описание
Playing a scale in thirds helps break the tendency to only use muscle memory and helps you think about the notes. The metronome is set at 90 and the scale is played in half notes. The first time through, I’m playing the scale with you. The second time, you’ll see me, but you’ll only hear the drone of the first note of the scale (also known as the tonic) and the metronome. My slide will move to the notes for you to look at if you need a little help. (Important- The high E is played in a flat second position and the high G is played in a sharp second position. You will see on the graphic when they’re played that they both just say second. Notice how the slide does move in order to play in tune.)
