Are Missional Communities just a passing fad? | Jeff Vanderstelt Q+A Series

Missional Communities didn’t begin with the missional church movement of the early 2000’s, but rather with the first-century church. Throughout the Scriptures, we see that the church has always been committed to living as God’s family, as servants of King Jesus, and as Spirit-empowered missionaries who bear witness to Jesus. That’s why missional communities are not a fad. They are not based on church strategy, but rather on the unchanging reality of who God is and who we are in Christ as family, servants, and missionaries. That said, how we live this out amongst a group of people, the name, and expression will change based on context.

Great explanation of missional communities, thanks Jeff! Just a little remark: The first scripture Jeff is quoting is not to the church in Galatia but to the church in Ephesus: Eph. 5, 1. Greetings from Nuremberg, Germany

It is only a "fad" if following Jesus in obedience is a fad! :-)
