Great demonstration! Are these True RMS volt meters or not? Also the screen resolution on both is the same? 320x240?

I picked up this Metter a month or so ago.. it will auto range if you press the S button while in o-scope mode and give it about 10-15 seconds and it'll auto range.. glad to see someone made a video on this model

I ordered this scope because i needed to read more than 40 volts and the cheaper ones will not do that. I found that holding the f3 key will sort of auto adjust the scale. I get the wave to fit the screen to begin with, the wave is usually smaller on the screen at 49 volts using the 10x and 1x/3x buttons. Then i hold the f3 and it shows the wave form going off the screen. When i cycle through the scales this time, the wave form ends up fitting much better. I do have to cycle through the 10x and 1x/3x option to get a good fit. Only this time the wave form is scaled much better. I noticed that this works for reading smaller voltages . When reading the rca voltage that is under 2 volts. That method seems to make the wave form easier to read. My amp has a clip light and i cant see clipping on this o scope until the light is solid and is in hard clipping. The 1% clipping that my amp detects does not show up on this scope. I dont think you could see 1% on any scope. At least i know the flashing clip light is a "soft clip" and a solid light is well into clipping.

I'm glad you showed this video with these kind of scope! I have the Mustool brand and it looks like version 2.0 but it's autoranging, different layout up close. Top video. Cheers from Australia. Love your tutorials. Subbed and liked.

I bought the Mustool scope meter a while back. It would probably be similar to the 2.0 version. Not bad for 50 bucks on banggood. Perfectly fine for setting gains. Like most of these scope meters the battery doesn't last long, but for occasional use it isn't too bad.

Awesome video I have a handheld fluke multimeter but I have been looking for a smaller easier unit.

Id much rather use this then do all the math on the other vid that made my head spin especially when it damn near exploded trying to make sense of the cross over points vid. very helpful dont get me wrong but those vids were a bit too much for me. maybe in person itd be easier, just not my learning style so this oscilloscope vid was a big relief.

I have the 2001 version and works fine but the screen is so low on resolution that sometimes i cant tell if it is in fact clipping or it's just a lack of pixels to visualize the round curve. But overall does the job

For the oscilloscope vertical sensitivity, you can also use the X1/X3 choice to get a three times change for sensitivity no matter which of the X10 settings you are on. This gives you more choices to have the waveform more fully fill the screen. The X1/X3 button toggles back and forth between the two choices and the volts per division indication changes accordingly. Most scopes have a "1, 2, 5" sequence for this. This has a "1, 3".

I have version "2.0" and reading distortion on the waves can be tricky just like shown on version "1.0". The display on "3.0" seems to be a good improvement over the others.

I've actually been looking at one of these and this exact model.

Heard this is like a copy of a copy of a copy but it should be good enough for setting gains and looking for distortion.

Hey DIY guy. Has anyone told you look like Captain Spalding from the Rob Zombie movies.

MUST-TOOL DO AN IDENTICAL VERSION OF BOTH THESE METERS. I HAVE THE MUSTTOOL VERSION MYSELF. GOOD METER BUT IT CAN ONLY SHOW YOU AN AC WAVEFORM WITH NEXT TO NO INFO. SO WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE WHAT THE UPGRADE CAN DO..

Thanks for the review! I picked one up after watching your review. I was just wondering if you can help me with a few things as I haven't used a multi meter in a long time. Measuring DCV on a router, and you want to set the limit of voltage is it possible to limit it to max voltage at 10 Volts? The only way I can explain it is with an analog meter (This model: de-960tr). I just need it to be more precise. I couldn't find any settings to manually change it.

I don't know if it set in 'Auto' will perform in that way or not. Last question is, I had both leads setup on the 2 far right ports from a different review I seen. I'm really confused at which ports I use for things that are low voltage / low amps. Can you recommend the correct way to have those setup? Either that, or if you know of a guide / tutorial that can teach me about it. Much appreciated.

Looks like a nice scope. What is the maximum peak-to-peak voltage that the stock probes support?

These days you need an o scope to set your Gains. Even top quality company’s will have over rated output claims. You can set your gains by voltage but only if you really trust that specific manufacturers ratings. All electrical systems will be different as well some cars don’t charge at the 14.4 that amps are rated at . O scopes will tell the truth with no guessing. Everyone needs one

PLEASE tell me why I can’t get my oscilloscope to give a clipped signal!??? I have done bought 2 different O-Scopes and neither will show! I’m running a taramps big boss 3 with a resilient sounds 15 dvc 2ohm with 1/0 gauge OFC power/ground and ground is good! I just can’t seem to get a clipped signal on neither O-scope! I bought the FNIRSI 2C23T & AUKUYEE Updated 2.4" TFT Digital Oscilloscope! My amp and bass knob shows clipping but won’t show a clipped/squared-signal! I was running a KICKER LOC and bought another, the PAC LP7-2 because you can control the gain on it, itself! But I can’t even get a clipped signal on it/head unit ALL the way up on a factory Bose HU/system! PLEASE ANYONE, ANYTHING HELPS!?
