this is probably my favorite scene form the entire movie, when she is totally lost in playing and the band members are calling here name but she isn't responding

detail i noticed rewatching this: the first times Gwen says "and he's not the only one" she's clearly implying the other person she's talking about is *herself* - while this trilogy is about Miles Morales, this specific movie is very much about her and her arc, and this is what she is telling you about here at the start. SO, when it gets to the final one where she says "i didn't mean to hurt him. but i did. and he's not the only one", following the pattern of the first two times she says it, she's also talking about herself here as well. in trying to find and hold onto community, in choosing the supposed security of the spider society, and in losing sight of her own values as a hero, she hurt *herself* just as much as she hurts Miles.

there's more i could say about her character and her arc in this movie that i love, but this detail here especially is one of my favourites - a really good highlight of her own insecurities and internal struggles with who she wants to be, who she has to be, and who she *could* be going forward
