$24 BILLION ON HOMELESS. WHAT A LIE. $24, BILLION WOULD HAVE PUT EVERY HOMELESS PERSON IN A TINY HOME IN FIVE STATES. SOMEONE IS RIPPING THE CALIFORNIA TAX PAYERS OFF.

I live near all this, can't aford to live here in Cali anymore. My huband passed away 2 years now and I'm disabled. I can't afford to live here anymore and have to move out of state to find shelter next month. They have done nothing to help any homeless or disabled people. It's sad when even shelters have a waiting list! I pray i find something asap. The anxiety and stress of this all is is so hard. Especially when your doctors tell you to not stress cause your gonna have a stroke. How is someone not to stress? I just keep praying. All that's left too do..🙏🏼🫶🏼

As a former California resident of 20 plus years I have a lot to say about what life is like there, and much of it isn’t flattering. I left with a great many fond memories and some palpable sadness for the friends I left behind. From an aesthetic perspective it’s incredible, from Yosemite to Monterey, from Tahoe to Santa Barbara all the way down to Coronado and the southern border. No other state in the union can match it in terms of overall diversity of climate, topography, culture and sheer visual beauty, and I’ve been to some pretty cool places-Hawaii, Alaska, Key West. We lived a mile from the pier in Oceanside for ten years and I sorely miss the beach and the lifestyle. Having said this, I’ll never live there again. That place, socially and politically, is a disaster. It’s like watching a freight train jump the tracks in slow motion. It’s unstoppable. We left the state for a variety of reasons, primarily so that we could be close to our grandson but of no less consequence was how unlivable it had become. We were gonna have to leave eventually, but a grandchild on the way was just the trigger we needed. Highest gas prices in the country. Hyper inflated property values. Some of the highest rent and taxes anywhere. Expensive beyond what sanity should mitigate. Corruption and graft at every level of state and local government. Overcrowded to the point that even the mass exodus of people every year pales in comparison to the thousands upon thousands of illegals waltzing across the border. And that doesn’t even address the skyrocketing crime, drug addiction and homelessness epidemics, and every year it only gets worse. Good weather and a scenic backdrop just isn’t enough to draw me back and especially now that California is reaping the whirlwind (literally) of systemic wokeism and incompetence.

He’s not complaining about the homeless. He’s bringing up how much they have spent on getting the homeless off the street but haven’t done anything to end the homelessness in cali but none of that goes to the fires. They haven’t spent an actual dime on the poor. Someone is making a profit off or the needy.

Mel doesn't realize it, but he's got a powerful voice. More and more are listening.

As a kid, I remember those hills burning back in the 60's. Nothing has been done about it, nothing has changed. And the lack of water was a problem back then. But they waste billions on other things. There needs to be an audit to see where all the money ends up.

This is sad I live down here in Florida with the last two hurricanes so I know what it's like to see homes destroyed you can't really understand until you see it with your own eyes

I hate to see anyone lose their property but I’m not shedding any tears over people that have multiple homes and 100’s of millions of dollars!
