You did a great job explaining your process.

A step saver for you - instead of multiplying your amount times 5% and then subtracting that amount from your total, you can do it in one step:

Take your total and multiple by 95% - that will get you the 5% number without having to subtract.
Hope that makes sense.
So, if you want to know 30% for example, just multiple by 70% and you will have the amount.
If you want to know 20%, for examples just multiply by 80% and you will have the amount.
