POV: You have a philosophy class and your teacher is lazy so they had you watch this instead of teaching.

Just to clarify he chose death also as he did not know if death would be a positive or negative, but he knew life without philosophy or speaking up about injustice etc. was certainly a negative. Death would either be peaceful non-existance like sleep uninterrupted even by dreams or an afterlife.

Socrates absolutely destroyed his accusers, he made them look like complete and total idiots. One would say he was wise because he would say "If i do not know it, why should i be afraid of it?" He didnt fear death. And he admitted when he didnt know something. Something people have a hard time admitting!
