Always loved this duo and their band. Our generation had the BEST music.

Love this duo from the 70's. I had their albums. They had a lot of great songs such as "Danny's Song", "House At Pooh Corner", "Thinking Of You", "My Music", "Watching The River Run", "Vahevala", "Lahaina", "Sailin' The Wind", "Pathway To Glory" etc.

There were so many great musicians, bands, releases back then that we were spoiled to the point of taking all of it for granted.

Awesome. Love the album version, opposed to the ”radio edit”version. Good choice.

Great evaluation. Loggins and Messina were great. One of the things that makes rock so great is how different genres can be blended in different ways. Their earlier stuff was more country/folksy - even bluegrass-y!)) Check out "Danny's Song", it's beautiful. In the 80's Loggins went out on his own and contained more jazzy elements. He did a LOT of movie soundtracks. "I'm Alright" (Caddy Shack) and "Danger Zone" (Top Gun) were two. A melt your face intense and fun song is "Don't Fight It" with Loggins and Steve Perry from the band "Journey".

Back when really talented musicians did it all themselves! I saw Kenny Loggins in concert a few years ago, and he did this song. He's getting older, but still has the voice!

Kenny is one of those guys... if you know what I mean. Real talented guy....Messina was a fine partner.

Absolutely great song and such an underrated jam, those guys really were awesome musicians. Another example of great artists from that era that get overshadowed by other, more popular acts, somewhat lost to many but sure were excellent in their own way. Rock On! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶

Thanks Jim Boy for doing one of my all-time favorite bands. I've seen these guys three times. All three times in the 70s when they were in their peak. They always had a huge band behind them with all of the instruments that you've mentioned. Kenny Loggins went on to have a successful solo career but I still think his peak was when he was with Messina. Jim Messina is a master on the guitar and both are excellent songwriters. Just about every song they do is a banger. Check out their anti-vietnam song called Golden Ribbons

Love your reaction! So many great players and writers from this era - Kenny Loggins went on to record megahits for movies - but I loved him best here with Jimmy Messina from Poco. Check that band out - "You'd better think Twice" one of my favorite tunes with fantastic guitar work and vocals. Keep bringing it!
