Greetings from Melbourne, Australia. We will be travelling up Highway 61 from New Orleans to the Chicago Blues Festival throughout June, starting next week. We thought about stopping in Clarksdale and sampling the Ground Zero cuisine and music. Your video convinced us this is a must do so many thanks!

Oh wow. I’m a foody. That ground zero place looked really good. Any place that has that type of scenic view that I’ve been to always had the best food. I’m hungry now. I have never been to Mississippi. I must visit there on our trips. The landscaping is amazing. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed the video.

Seems like a very historical place. I'm glad I got a chance to see where Tim is from. Thanks for sharing this experience!! 😊

The best burger I ever had was at Ground Zero. Would love to take the Hwy 61 road trip soon.

Crazy jealous right now!!! We lived in MS for two years and we made it to Clarksdale to eat at Ground Zero and it was closed.😭. We did go over to the blues museum though. We have been dying to get back. Did you get to see Po Monkey’s Juke Joint in Marigold? We absolutely love the Delta! Good stuff guys!

Welcome Home Tim! Had no idea you were from our great state of Mississippi! It's always good to visit home. Despite our issues, Mississippi is still and will always be home! Glad y'all had a good time!

I liked your excursion into the Blues sites in Mississippi.

I'm getting into Vanlife as a Musician, and did YouTube searches on things like "Jazz/Blues Road Trips" and other like phrases and your video came up.

At this juncture I'm reticent about making any travels in the South. Though I'm White, I don't think I'd measure to an average White Southerner"s definition of "Normal" (especially those in Law Enforcement, although I try to avoid being a "Troublemaker" for the sake of doing that, also as an instrumentalist on Hammond Organ I would not make a very good Country & Western singer) or how Black clubs in former Jim Crow territory would respond to my presence, especially uninvited. For a time, I did play in the Oakland Blues scene (I did a show with Sugarpie DeSanto at Stern Grove back in 2014, a clip is on YouTube), many of the musicians and singers I worked with have since passed.

Anyway I'm figuring out how to scope out Gigging/Jamming/Busking opportunities and how to make them work.
