This! I had been following the Gravity series since its initial release and was really torn between the 560 and 1050 models. I wanted the upgraded features of the 1050, but not necessarily all the space (or price); the 560 was too cut down and I would have to mod on the features I needed. This 800 series looks like it hits the sweet spot for me. I'm glad I waited!

Edit: ...it looks like many of my BBQ brethren in the comments may have compromised up (1050) or down (560) prior to this 800 series...Hope they can get the new features too!

Great option for the already superb GS 800. I’m sure I’m not the first to ask, but when can we expect a griddle plate & accompanying directional heat manifold for the GS 1050?

Glad I didn’t push the issue on on the 1050 this summer when it was sold out.

I like the griddle, the extra size, and the shelf, but are there any quality improvements over the 560? People have remarked on the thinness of the lid, corroding charcoal hopper, etc...

Can't find this grill anywhere except listed on one Wal-Mart site, but the price was bumped up to $900. Having this sold exclusively through Walmart, is a very poor decision, IMO. I've been waiting, but unfortunately it looks like I'll be looking elsewhere.

I would love to own this grill but Masterbuilt made the poor decision to sell it only through Walmart.

It is never in stock in the store so I ordered it from walmart.com. It arrived a week later than they said and the box was severely damaged. There is a big dent on the grill and Walmart says they can't send me a new one because it is now out of stock.

They did offer me a 15% discount if I wanted to keep the badly damaged $700 grill. What a terrible offer.

Now I am stuck with this giant half unpacked box and need to arrange the return with a 3rd party delivery service which will happen "2 or 3" weeks from now.

Masterbuilt it looks like you made a great product.. and then handed off the keys to the worst retailer available.

I don't get it. Is it a 1050 with a griddle? Or is this just an attachment to add to an existing 560 or 1050 and they are using a 1050 as an example. Much confusion
