By 2019, the average base salary increased to $237,570.

This is a wage growth of $71,820 (or $4,788 yearly) from 1999-2019.

The estimated 2020 base salary would be $242,358.

I'm studying under grad. in general dentistry in India and I really wish i could study and practice as an Oral Surgeon in the States.
Issue is getting a license and working our ass off for it along with the cost. Its like roughly $300k-400k to get a general dentist license. Not to forget the amount of competition for people trying to get a seat!
Honestly I'd be committed to working my ass off to get a license but money is where I lack and I guess this would be the same case with a lot many people.

Gosh, these videos really do not go into the details of what it takes to do the jobs listed in terms of personality, cost of degrees, competitiveness, likes/dislikes, stressors and average hours. Not sure how useful that really is.
