Why Google paid $400 million fine? #shorts

In 2018, google was accused of privacy breach where Google continued to track users' location data despite the users having turned their tracking off. The investigation was led by Princeton computer scientist and disclosed that over two billions users were affected by privacy breach. Google faced a backlash because of secretly gathering these sensitive data, which also have led to Google making ton of money. As of 2022, Google is now paying around $391 million as a settlement payout.
