-another consequence that you should have seem about RBD is that new checkpoints sometimes happen and you can't correct certain mistakes, just like in arc 3 when Subaru embarassed himself in front of everyone, then has an argument with Emilia and the checkpoint is after this, or in arc 4 when he cannot get back to save Rem from archbishops of Gluttony and Greed because of the new checkpoint.
At least try to not use braindead-two-digits-IQ arguments like this one, maybe you'll show that your criticism is somehow legitimate. Sorry for being harsh with my words, but try to put yourself in the situation of the character before saying things just because you think you could do better without realizing the privilege of an omniscient point of view that is the one of someone watching a fictional show from the confort of its house.

The thing about Re:Zero is that it’s really not for everyone. For me personally it’s easily my favorite anime/light novel series, and it’s not even close. But I can see how other people would dislike it.

the thing about Subaru is, he's a lame guy, that's a fact, this is just how he is, he's cringe, weak and all.. and the moments when Subaru shines are rare, but when it happens, the impact of all his trials and fails are always gratifying to see when he manages to do something useful.. the thing about him is that he has a lot of strong friends and allies to do fighting for him, so even though he's an lameass, he still manages to overcome his challenges in his own pathetic way. I stopped watching it before end of season 2, for me the story was just not interesting, concept was cool but I lost interest since didnt like how it was going, I wanted to like it but couldnt and dont regret my choice, now mind you I might not like the manga/anime but if others like it please continue to enjoy it, I dont like to call something "garbage" just because I dont like it I respect the work the person puts into making the story and such.

In the light novel subaru tries not to think about his previous life because it wasn’t the greatest (Most of his memories surrounding that time are negative every time it’s brought up), but he does care about his parents and mentions them from time to time in earlier arcs too.

It’s said that being summoned practically gave him another chance at life, like a means to “escape” from his situation. It’s also mentioned that Subaru subconsciously knew that he would never go back to his previous life as soon as he arrived, which is also why he gets busy with other things too.

He wrote the story for her and is extremely, extremely bias towards her, it’s insufferable fr. Subaru doesn’t need a solid in story reason to be in love with Emilia cause the author himself loves her and projects his feelings onto Subaru despite her being one of the worst characters in the series

Thank you, finally someone said it. Subaru is the biggest incel I've seen in all anime. It annoys me how you can make such a great world setting give the MC a very intriguing and interesting power and have him be the most insufferable character ever. 0 consistency in his behaviour backed by 0 brain cells to actually think. The author probably is an incel himself, there is no way you can a make a main charcter love another character literally TO DEATH without even showing why does he even love her.
