Expensive doesnt always mean delicious. That being said, taste is subjective. It could be the best thing ever for someone, but taste like dogturd for another.

To me if a restaurant serves better food for internet celebrities or any celebrity for that matter it devalues the establishment. At the worlds best restaurants nothing will change, if you pay you get the same quality and service.

A restaurant treating you differently if you have more than x amount of followers is definitely a reason NOT to go there, everybody will be on their phones

That's just straight up rude tbh, everyone has different taste bud, if Im with that CM we would have seriously has tension. Aside from that Congratulations Mhiee your hard work was all worth it!! I also want to go culinary after college to become A Pastry chef or open my own Bakery!! You really inspire me!

In some countries the cheapest most ‘hole in the wall’ restaurants have the best tasting food, also some expensive restaurants provied the “rich” asthetic and the expensive ingredients (see 24k gold everything) but not the taste.

Pisses me off they treat people differently based on their follower count. Like them being expensive wasn't enough. This type of practice will never fail to be annoying.

Any restaurant that does that is a joke and a place like TFL is more than lauded enough not to have to pander to no-talent influencers, regardless of whether they have 100, 000 or a million subscribers.

Being “disappointed” in a second experience when you were comparing what should have been two identical (ish) experiences does not mean you were saying it was bad. It’s you saying they have slipped from what they were. That is a valid opinion to hold that says nothing about your taste.

If everyone had exactly the same taste then 99% of restaurants wouldn’t even be in business. Just because something tastes good to him doesn’t mean your palette is unrefined because you don’t like it so screw them.

I feel you on this one. I went to a luxury restaurant for my birthday in 2018 with a friend and it was one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve ever had. One year later, I decided to go to the same restaurant to celebrate completing my Master’s, this time with my parents and now husband. The food was yummy, but it the vibe wasn’t the same. Overall it was just an okay experience, and I think that’s because I was expecting it to be as good as it was the year before. The thrill and surprise you find the first time you go to a high end restaurant is very difficult to repeat when you’ve already done it before. It’s like seeing a magic trick, then later finding out how the trick is done and then watching it again.

Had my 1st Michelin Star restaurant experience last year, it was interesting because the food was unique. Wouldn't plan like a year for it or anything, but glad we did it for an occasion. I'll stay with my comfort rustic meals :)
