Love my mk8 GTI 6MT. It’s a FUN FUN car. A simple tune and it’s a little beast.

6MT needs a short shift kit and new knob, it changes the feel for a few hundred bucks.

The Haptic buttons are great and the touch screen is great after a few days of getting use to it. Do you want buttons on your iPhone or Samsung ?

People complaining DONT own the car, I can assure you it’s over played by people that don’t own one.

I own a 2023 and the infotainment system isn’t that bad after you get use to it. It’s such a small part of the experience to me. Since owning my 2023 gti SE I look forward to driving it each day I do. So I always see these comments from those speaking about the infotainment system and they don’t even own the car. And to the guy with the mini cooper S I laugh—that circle display screen it’s so cute and girly like. I’ll be honest mini cooper S doesn’t compare to gti.

I own 24 GTI SE 380. I find the infotainment so easy & intuitive to use to a point I get so frustrated when I drive other cars feels outdated & complicated.

I just parked an opal white 380 SE in the driveway, and I'm taking her to the beach, hopefully one of those drive on the beach deals is open tomorrow, but I can't wait. Last year they're making the manual transmission, I had to get one. Great video, going to have to dig through the infotainment system and cleanup the apps I'm not going to use to make it more... mine I guess.

On prior years the biggest complaint was the info system, since everything is controled thru that screen. It looks like they didn't correct that issue for 2024. Too bad since that is a deal breaker for many (including me).

This is why I’ll never get rid of my 6spd MK7 GTI. Even if the motor eventually blows, I’ll just rebuild it. When manuals are extinct on new vehicles, I’ll just sit back and watch the value of my GTI rise hehe.

My personal opinion is that ambient should be subtle, like ambient music. It's not something you party to.
I think Mercedes is going a bit overboard by turning the ambient into a light show.
Something I need to be in the mood for, but not every time I get in the car.
However, I understand that there are party people. :)

Going from a 21 GLI to a 24 integra, the manual trans experience is like night and day. Unless the GTI is a lot different. The Acura Honda is miles better.

My better half owns a 2023 GTI 40th Anniversary with a manual. I'll admit it's properly quick, but it just lacks soul. Also you can't drive the thing in spirited fashion without activating something via the steering wheel controls.

It sucks it's losing the manual, but at least the 2025 will have physical buttons on the steering wheel. That is what kept me from buying it. I bought a MINI Cooper S instead. Sadly it also loses its manual for the 2025 model year.
