Regarding the Noah's ark story, remember the beginning of Bluebeam is global earthquakes (which could be changed to global floods instead) leading to discovery of religious artifacts which change people's thinking about Christian & Muslim religion. I'm sure the playbook wasn't absolutely set when it was written and they could tweak things as necessary for current times. I wouldn't be surprised if this all plays into that.
