Good stories in this report, though I do wonder about the Lego one. Religious woo aside, the New Zealand study may have some merit, however I think for it to have any meaningful influence in a child's behaviour, they would have to be totally consumed by Lego activity and let's face it, the graphically explicit imagery in popular video games is way more immersive than a little bit of play time with Lego toys.
This whole thing reminds me of a preacher 10 years ago that was advocating Christians not use the internet because it was of the Devil, due to the prefix WWW = 666 (W being the 6th letter of the Hebrew alphabet).
