As much as I would have loved this movie...it promotes domestic violence, condemns single women activists...then it discourages seeking help from neighbours or friends..at one point in life we all need a support system...even though her neighbour was going through her own challenges I will applaud her for not wanting another woman in such situation. if she had not sued the husband, she wouldn't have known the reasons for his actions and would have also been living in that abusive marriage till she becomes a body bag. why would a man marry someone he claims he loves only for a Revenge? why didn't he talk about the problem and resolve it before marriage? nothing justifies the action of any man who lays his hands on women! finally, Mothers! you can do better. Stop protecting your image over your daughter's life. The society will talk and be alright las las. women's lives matter. stop promoting domestic violence! Stop giving men weak and false ego!!

Imagine shaming a woman for speaking up. Imagine begging your abuser. What a shame.

This movie should either have part 2 or either brought down... Domestic violence isn't a joke... What should justify violence.

This story line is the reason why women die in DV. How can you try to justify DV, why couldn’t the man call off the wedding, before they got married? See how they tried to display Women’s rights Activists as negative people, it’s like saying because a doctor has a medical condition, so therefore they are unfit to diagnose a medical problem. It’s just sad, because this movie really potrays the societal beliefs and standards. Her neighbour was trying to help her, because she couldn’t help herself out of her own situation and yet they portrayed her, as though she was trying to mislead her. They kept on asking her to divorce her husband, rather than have him pay for his crimes, so my question is, why is one better than the other, even though both options will eventually end the marriage?

I thought so too. This movie encourages domestic abuse in some way and it also encourage the victim to keep mute and endure all sorts while being abuse

Honestly, I don’t understand what message the writer of this movie is communicating. There’s absolutely no excuse for domestic violence.

This is a no no!

This storyline is so weird. Too many nonsense was justified. He had no right to hit her like that and even if the story will end like that, there was no need to make the divorce lawyer look like a villain. She was only doing her job on whatever evidence was presented to her. Her marital status is no one’s business.
She should have divorced him? YES but we need to normalize getting domestic violence perpetrators to pay for their sin. It isn’t just a sin sef, it is a crime. It will be nice if the stories can start getting educating and not just entertaining. ✌️

Enitan did not lie about anything she was trying to help Abike not to fall into the same position she found herself, just that she was supposed to explain things to Abike for more knowledge, my people am an activist also but how do we fight for ourselves if we don't have husband too at least people should emulate good from us, hmmm I see God helping us all 💝💝💝

Wow, I enjoyed this movie and the story it tells. As soon as there is an issue, sit, communicate, and address it with ones partner. If there are issues of trust, address it and don't keep it in. If there is hurt, address it instead of wanting to hurt others. Last but not least, discover who people truly are and stay away from those that are miserable or unhappy.

It’s crazy how Yoruba people value marriage over your total wellbeing. They expect the woman to be everything and the man a child in an adult body!

If you know you won't be a responsible husband, don't marry her please. Why will you be using her past against her... If you can't forgive her, let her go I learnt lot of lessons though

Apata TV. This movie represents everything wrong about our society. People hiding under the umbrella of marriage, culture etc to commit a crime as grievous as Domestic violence. A very bad story line.
