Simone Biles is opening up about the pressure she is feeling after enduring an unusual stumble in the first round of competition. She posted on Instagram saying, “I truly do feel like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders at times." In a speech in Phoenix, former President Trump called out the U.S. women’s soccer team for “wokism” after the players knelt in protest before their first game, seeming to root against his own country to score political points with his fanbase.

It was Simone Biles who referred to herself in interviews as the greatest gymnast ever, without provocation. When she was called arrogant for it, she replied "It's the truth". Simone is the one who had a GOAT stitched to her uniform. Simone is the one who said "Because I can" when asked why she makes her difficulty levels so high. Simone is also the one who said she was going to show everyone why she was the best when in Tokyo. Simone Biles put herself up on the pedestal of greatness. Once there she was unable to deliver, got upset and frustrated so she quit. Now it's all about this expectation and pressure that all of us put on her. She created that expectation, not us. Now it's also about mental health which is a real slap in the face to ppl who suffer from real mental health issues. This is the Olympics. And one of the requirements to be there is to be one of the best. She's been there before so this pressure isn't something new. The only difference is she was winning back then so her "mental health issues" weren't an issue. It only became an issue when she was losing. That used to be called poor sportsmanship. Now we're hailing it heroism.. *smh*
