Idol does have insane abilities and potential with buff and money but they are NOT someone you would use in a raid without Speedwagon, Speedwagon is the only reason things such as the Aizen Strat work. Idol could definitely be on par or better then Octo tho as Octo is only his best with Speedwagon.

I remember when I first played AA, at first, I didn't like it much, but and then I started to like it and I would play it the entire day. Literally the best Tower Defense game, if you get bored, the new update never disappoints. I got very lucky in the game, I got Harlequin (Which was meta at the time) and after that I got Usopp (Timeskip), after that I got Tengen (Score) at my 5th 1x spin for a quest. I got Ai (Idol), Aizen, and then Heathcliff (Which I never evolved). I got Poseidon for free from my friend. And yeah, I loved AA. I remember grinding raids for Tengen. Best memories.

Both were useful enough but if we are talking about essentially i think speed wagon wins cuz u can't solo inf without a single jeff and currently there are ez to get buffs like brook and idol is kinda hard to get cuz he only appears in the banner for a quite several times...
