Climate-smart Covid-19 Recovery: Sustainable and Energy-efficient MSMEs

Over the past two months, nations world over have experienced losses due to extreme weather events. Jointly, climate change and Covid-19 have taken a toll on human lives, livelihoods and economies. A Climate-smart Covid-19 Recovery strategy in small-sized, locally established enterprises can alleviate the stresses faced by communities by improving business, opening up the job market and pushing for a clean and green economic revival. A small but growing tribe of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) owners in India explain how their sustainable and energy-efficient models are proving to be cost-effective and gratifying. Experts add insight into the need for MSMEs to access the right capital and markets.
