Jacob “Jake” Gershon, Binghamton University

Gershon works in Dr. Tracy Hookway’s s cardiac tissue engineering lab. His work in the lab focuses on the formation of stem-cell derived 3D cardiac microtissues. Researchers hope the technology could someday be used to create tissue to replace damaged heart muscles or to test new drugs.
