That was an extremely beautiful, simplistic explanation of a life long ponderence. I have always called it, "the voice I have known since I was a child, " because the essence of the voice had never changed, only the wisdom. Love and Gratitude from the very Best of Me!!!

@TEARDUCTER - Consider this: When you are talking and speech is flowing from your mouth are you thinking about every word you are going to say and then saying it? No, speech is a much more spontaneous event than that, otherwise we would bore each other to death! i.e I am going to say "hello" and then Im going to say "my" and then Im going to say "name" and then Im going to say get the picture.

@TEARDUCTER - You do not need to think in order to speak, you may premeditatively omit certain thoughts before talking to certain people, but if you are just involved in rapid-fire exchanges with friends you will notice this is true.

Why do we need to cling to consciousness?

Consciousness appears and disappears like every other phenomenon. It depends on that which it is conscious OF. If there is nothing to be conscious OF, how can there be consciousness?

Reality is therefore not about "resting as pure Consciousness, or pure Awareness". Look deeper.
